Saint-Georges-de-Didonne is located on the Atlantic coast, 60km south of La Rochelle and around a hundred km north of Bordeaux.
By road, the adjoining town of Royan is fairly well served by the A 10 motorway, exit 35 coming from Paris (520km) or Saintes (40km) and by exit 37 coming from Bordeaux (130km) .
By train, the Royan SNCF station provides access to Angoulême for TGV connections to Paris and Bordeaux.
By plane, La Rochelle - Île de Ré airport is 70km away and Bordeaux-Mérignac airport is 150km away.
By the ferry which connects the port of Royan to that of Verdon, on the other side of the estuary in Gironde, offering another tourist route through the Médoc to reach Bordeaux.
