At Vacansoleil, we are following the developments surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) closely. We share your concerns and are doing everything we can to help you as best we can. Your safety is of the utmost importance to us. 

Due to all the news items on the subject, you've probably a lot of questions regarding your holiday. That is why we have made a list of the most frequently asked questions & answers for you. 

In the meantime, take a look at the questions & answers below. You will then probably find the answer to your question quickly.

What if I book a holiday now and after the 1st of April travel restrictions are introduced?

Up to April 1, 2021, you can cancel your holiday without any costs and you will refund your (down) payment. This also applies if your holiday cannot proceed due to corona virus restrictions. 

After April 1, 2021, you have two options available in the event of negative travel advice:
- Free rebooking to another campsite, period or destination in 2021
- Free rebooking to 2022

Free rebooking to another campsite, period or destination
You can rebook without amendment fees to another period, a different campsite and / or another destination in 2021, provided that the duration of the new booking is at least equal to the duration of your current booking.

Free rebooking to 2022
It is also possible to rebook your holiday to 2022, of course without any amendment fees.

Payments already made by you will be deducted from your 2022 holiday price. These prices, which are not yet known at this time, are expected to be approximately the same as this years prices.

If you are not content with the above options, we will endeavour to find suitable solutions for you. These will be in line with any existing conditions that are force in the holiday region at that time. 

What happens if, during our stay, we suddenly have to interrupt our holiday due to Coronavirus travel restrictions? Will we be reimbursed or receive a credit for any unused nights?

Should this situation arise, we will always follow the advice and guidance of government and official authorities. You will receive a message from us informing you about what options are available. We do everything possible we can to help and assist you in finding a suitable solution.

We recommend that you check with your travel insurance provider before departure, too see what your policy insures you for if negative travel advice is issued for your destination.

Regularly check the website of your Department of Foreign Affairs to stay informed of the current situation at your holiday destination.

Can I cancell without cost if there is a negative travel advice, will I get a (new) voucher, or will I be reimbursed?

Up to April 1, 2021, you can cancel your holiday without any costs and we will refund your (down) payment. This also applies if your holiday cannot continue due to corona virus restrictions.

Can I put the remaining balance (2nd payment) on hold until it is 100% known that I'm allowed to travel to the booked destination? Or have lower the cancellation costs apply in 2021 in case of future restrictions due to Covid as I would not like to loose my money ?

Your holiday balance is due 06 weeks before departure. We have financial obligations to your booked campsite, as a result we therefore cannot deviate from this. This also applies to any cancellation costs. In the event of a cancellation, we still owe cancellation costs to the campsite.

Will I get receive a refund when I make a new booking using my Corona voucher and I cancel this booking before 01-04-2021?

When it concerns a new booking, current conditions apply, and you can cancel free of charge for this period. Unfortunately, these conditions do not apply to a rebooking from  using a voucher, this voucher is covered by the voucher fund. 

Prices for my campsite are not yet available….how can I be sure that I will still get an early booking discount?

We recommend that you make a pre-booking now. As soon as the prices are known, the 20% early booking discounwill be applied. Just to reassure you: no obligation applies to a pre-booking. You can cancel without costs if the prices are higher than you expected.

Will all services be available on the campsites if Covid remains an issue during 2021? What compensation will I receive if all services are not available?

This differs per campsite and per country. At the campsites where we offer holidays, most facilities are open as usual, but there will be differences from what you may be used to. 

Safety comes first. That's why campsites will strictly follow local government guidelines. Vacansoleil is not liable for the opening or closing of certain facilities. This is dependent on local legislation which can always change. 

For the most up to date information, we recommend that you check the official website of your booked campsite.

What if I book a holiday, there are no travel restrictions, but I still do not feel save traveling?

You can cancel your reservation free of charge up to April 1, 2021. You will receive a refund of your deposit. This only applies to new reservations and new deposits made from January 18, 2021. Reservations with an original arrival in 2020 that have been rebooked to 2021 or reservations made using a corana voucher cannot be cancelled free of charge. 

After April 1, 2021, you can cancel a reservation by telephone/email up to the day of arrival. In accordance with Vacansoleil's general terms and conditions, applicable cancellation fees will apply. 

I've had a voucher due to covid cancellation in 2020, if a 2021 reservation similarly needs to be cancelled will I lose my money?

My booking for the 2020 season has been canceled and I have a voucher. How can I use it?

You can use the voucher with any booking you make within the validity period of the voucher (within 12 months from date of issue) .The booking itself can take place throughout 2021. 

You can redeem this voucher for any booking offered by Vacansoleil. 

You can book your holiday Online - no payment is taken. We shall contact you after to arrange holiday payment. Your voucher value will then be deducted from you total holiday cost.

If you have money left on your voucher, you can use it for a subsequent booking in 2021.
