Description of the campsite
The Cepo Verde campsite is located in the middle of the Montesinho Natural Park, one of the largest nature reserves in Portugal. This terraced campsite has only forty pitches and a few rental accommodations, charming wooden chalets. There are no fixed locations, you can choose a place you like. Enjoy the pool, or go hiking through the mountains or old villages. The campsite has a good restaurant. In the traditional wooden reception, you will also find souvenirs and the biggest knife of the world is exposed there.
The Montesinho Natural Park is one of the largest natural parks of the 12 existing in the country. Located in the region of Trás - os - Montes (northeastern Portugal), it covers the northern part of the districts of Bragança and Vinhais, which are part of the so - called Transmontana Cold Earth. Highlights of the park are the two large existing mountain ranges, Crown Mountain (to the west) and Montesinho Mountain (to the east), which gives the park its name.
