Campsite information

Domaine de Litteau is peacefully situated between orchards filled with apple trees and the green Normandy countryside. The impressive landing beaches of D-Day are 30km away. A must-see for both young and old. However, you may have to persuade the youngsters as they won't want to leave the great play ground.

A pleasant, quiet family campsite that offers all manner of activities, especially for children. Swimming, BMX tracks, a playground, an enthusiastic entertainment team.
The extra large playground is the meeting point for kids. This is where they make new friends in no time. Together they can have a go at the ropes course, have fun on the giant swing or ride their bikes on the BMX track.
There is a large heated indoor pool including a fun waterslide and a separate splash pool for younger children.
Fishermen should bring their rods. There are two fishing lakes on site, both beautifully situated among the greenery.
Families can play a game of football golf on the 6 hole course. Guaranteed fun. Who can shoot a hole in one?
On site there is a well-equipped supermarket, cosy bar and restaurant. Enjoy a delicious meal and make a toast to your holiday, with a glass of Calvados of course.

Some tips for your holiday at Domaine de Litteau in Litteau

A visit to the D-Day landing beaches is highly recommended. The closest one is Omaha Beach, not far from the battlefield of Point du Hoc.
The 360 degree cinema at Arromanches feels like a time machine, taking you back to 6 June 1944. It is as if you were there yourself on D-Day. Very impressive.
Visit Mont Saint Michel, the iconic abbey on the rocky island just off the coast. In the evening the abbey is beautifully illuminated, it looks like a faiytale castle!
The nearby town of Bayeux is a must for lovers of culture. The highlight is the medieval Bayeux Tapestry, a 70m long embroidered story about the battle of Hastings.
The nearby forest of Cerisy is great for hiking. Choose your trail at the educational starting point Maison de la Foret.
Fancy a spot of shopping? Caen is a bustling town with lots of shops and historical sights. These include the castle of William the Conqueror, ancient monuments, old limestone buildings and green parks.
