Description of the campsite
The treasures of the Île de Ré
Located on the eastern side of the Île de Ré, Le Bel Air Campsite makes an ideal base for exploring the wonders of this pearl in the Atlantic Ocean.
The campsite offers traditional tent/caravan pitches but also the Freeflower all-canvas holiday home as well as beautiful cabins and lodges.
From La Flotte-en-Ré you can enjoy the charms of the local ports and villages with their brightly painted shutters and narrow, wallflower-lined streets.
The Bel Air is also a great starting point for exploring the island by bicycle or boat.
For those interested in swimming, the long, sandy Plage de l'Arnérault is located just 900m from the campsite.

At Le Bel Air, you'll find a Children's Club (4-12 years) and entertainment for all the family (July/August), as well as 2 tennis courts, table tennis tables, a petanque area and a games room with library, pool table and table football. There's also a bouncy castle and our brand new pirate ship play area for children! To cool off, you'll find a heated swimming pool with paddling pool (from 01/05 to 25/09). Le Bel Air also has a snack bar (pizzas, burgers, ice creams, crêpes, drinks etc) with a large terrace to enjoy in the sun. Laundry, free WIFI, motorhome service area, bike hire, plancha hire, bed linen/towels/baby kit hire, bread shop, bus stop 300m away... you'll find everything you need right on site.
Our campsite is located in La Flotte, a small village on the Ile de Ré, a 30-minute drive from La Rochelle. On the Ile de Ré, cycling is king! From the campsite, you can hire bikes and set off on the cycle paths to explore the surrounding area. With its many sandy beaches, narrow streets lined with hollyhocks and salt marshes, the Ile de Ré is full of surprises.
Cross the Ile de Ré bridge and head towards Rivedoux and La Flotte en Ré on the D237. Take the second roundabout in La Flotte towards the town centre (after the Croix Michaud roundabout) then 300m to the right.
