Description of the campsite
The new campsite Monplaisir on the island of Oléron in the Charentes Maritime is close to the centre of the village of St Trojan les Bains and its beaches. Its comfortable and well-equipped mobile homes are scattered across a lovely, wooded area. The campsite has an outdoor, heated swimming pool. For a lively holiday, activities are available during the day and in the evening during the school holidays in July and August. Children from the ages of 4 to 11 and teenagers from 12 to 15 can enjoy activities specially adapted to their age-groups. The campsite is ideally situated for visiting the island of Oléron and its many attractions : The Château of Oléron and its citadel, the light-house of Chassiron, the port of La Cotinière, the beach of Boyarville with its view over the famous Fort Boyard… As far as leisure activities are concerned, water sports are top on the list: sailing, wind-surfing, swimming, surfing, diving, boat trips, fishing… Other activities include golf, fishing, horse riding, hiking, sand-yachting, cycling and thalassotherapy treatments.

To get to Flower Camping Monplaisir in Saint-Trojan-les-Bains on the Ile d'Oléron, follow these directions for a trouble-free journey.
By car :
From the mainland, access to the Ile d'Oléron is via the free 3 km bridge linking the town of Bourcefranc-le-Chapus to the island.
Once on the island, follow the signs for Saint-Trojan-les-Bains (D26), located to the south of the island.
As you approach Saint-Trojan-les-Bains, follow the signs to Flower Camping Monplaisir.

By train:
The nearest stations are Rochefort and La Rochelle. Buses run from either station to Saint-Trojan-les-Bains. You can also hire a car or take a taxi to the campsite from the station.
By bus:
There are bus routes linking the Ile d'Oléron to neighbouring towns such as Rochefort and La Rochelle. Once on the island, a local bus network will take you easily to Saint-Trojan-les-Bains.
The Les Mouettes service runs regular routes around the island.
By bike:
The island of Oléron is very accessible for cyclists thanks to its extensive network of cycle paths. From the island's bridge, you can follow the signposted routes to the south of the island and Saint-Trojan-les-Bains. Cycle parking is available at the campsite entrance.
