From La Rochelle or Rochefort: reach Marennes, then cross the bridge of the island of Oléron. The Château d'Oléron is located in the southeast of the island.

Nearest SNCF stations: Rochefort, Surgères, Saintes or La Rochelle, depending on the route chosen. From these stations, Le Château-d'Oléron is accessible by regional bus, taxi or rental car.
