Welcome to Hohenwarter Seehof, a superb farm nestled on the heights of Hohenwarte Dam Lake (Hohenwarte-Stausee), one of the largest reservoirs in Europe. Here, the landscape takes on the air of Scandinavian fjords with its steep hills and deep blue waters. Without electricity or Wi-Fi, you're totally disconnected to live at the pace of farm animals and candle-lit evenings. It is the ideal address for an unusual, aquatic and deeply wild stay with the family.

- A family farm surrounded by dense and dense forests and hilly meadows, offering an exceptional view of the lake below.
- An environment of royal serenity, ideal to escape urban stress and breathe the great air of the middle German mountain.
- A total disconnection favored by the raw nature surrounding the domain.
- Life on the farm in the open air: meet the cows, help the owners feed the small animals and let the children pick up the fresh eggs directly in the henhouse for breakfast.
- The Club des Petits Fermiers: the children love to take care of the rabbits and goats of the farm, a direct and privileged contact with the animals of the countryside.
- Explorers' paradise: no cars in the accommodation area! Children have fun building huts in the woods, climbing on straw bales or running in the meadows in complete freedom and security.
- Les Logements Tentes (Cottages): spacious high-end canvas tents with rustic and chic style. They have real comfortable beds (including the famous wooden cot), a large sofa, private toilet and a traditional cast iron wood stove.
- The concept "Without Electricity": no electrical socket or artificial light in tents. At nightfall, you light up with the oil lamp and candle for an incredibly warm and timeless atmosphere.
- The farm pantry (Honesty Shop): a small shop open 24 hours a day in self-service. Here you will find fresh eggs, local meat, regional products from Thuringia and everything you need to make good dishes on your stove.
- Hohenwarte Lake (Hohenwarte-Stausee): accessible in minutes, it is the paradise of water sports! Enjoy the joys of swimming, rent a canoe, a stand-up paddle or take a boat cruise to admire the steep and wooded shores of the lake.
- Exceptional hikes: The estate is the ideal starting point for traveling the marked trails of the Thuringe Forest Natural Park, especially the ridge paths that dominate the Saale Valley.
- Saalfeld and its fairy caves (Feengrotten) (25 min): discover the old slate mines transformed into stalactite caves, certified as "the most colorful caves in the world" by the Guinness Book of Records. A magical visit for children!
- Slow Cooking: The cast iron wood stove is the heart of your home. It serves to heat you but also to cook. Heating the water from the coffee or simmering a stew takes a little patience... it's the real secret of a stress-free holiday.
- Telephone charging: the absence of electricity in tents is part of the experience, but secure electric charging lockers are available at the farm building for your essential devices.
- Pets (dogs) are accepted on prior request to share endless walks in the forest with you.
