Camping La Chiocciola

Camping La Chiocciola is located in beautiful countryside, about a hundred metres from the Ambre river. This is the real Tuscany, full of vineyards, historical towns and rolling fields with cypress trees and hay rolls. The name of the campsite translates as 'the snail,' which explains why life here passes peacefully, without any rush.

Some tips for your holiday at La Chiocciola in Capannole

  • The well preserved medieval city Arezzo is well worth a visit. Stroll through its narrow streets and reward yourself with an espresso at one of Italy’s most beautiful squares: the Piazza Grande.
  • Ok, the historical square of Siena is even more impressive. Piazza del Campo is a must see! Twice a year it’s the setting for the Palio, the spectacular horse races held in July and August.
  • Visit Florence, with a wealth of treasures from the Italian renaissance. See the Uffizi museum, the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, Palazzo Pitti. So much to see and not enough time!. Tip: take the train from Bucine.
  • You’ll find the real Italian culture in the countryside. Many villages have churches or palaces and excellent museums. Such as, Montevarchi and San Giovanni Valdarno.
  • Sit down at a terraced bar in the little wine town of Radda in Chianti. The view here is free, yet priceless!
  • Curious as to where Roberto's Benigni's film La vita è bella was set? Then visit Arezzo and also Cortona, a beautiful little Etruscan town.
