Camping La Presqu'île du Barcarès

Camping La Presqu'île du Barcarès is a quiet, small scale family campsite on the peninsula near Le Barcarès. It’s set in lush green, idyllic surroundings, with lots of shadow and a great view of Lake Leucate. With a heated pool with waterslide, paddling pool, a playground, mini club and lots of entertainment, this campsite is perfect for families with young children.

  • Need to cool off? Take a dip in the lovely pool. The kids whizz down the water slide or splash about in their own special area.
  • It’s a kid’s paradise here. With a mini club for the little ones, a teen club and lots of exciting activities. There are also several children's play areas, with a bouncy castle and a trampoline,
  • Looking for an active holiday? Then take your pick from tennis, football, volleyball, basketball or test your skills on the climbing wall. Need a slightly gentler pace? Try your hand at pétanque or play some table tennis.

    • For a lovely day by the sea visit Le Barcarès ( 3 km). Don’t forget to pay a visit to the famous steamboat Le Lydia, with casino, museum and restaurant.
    • Want to spot a zebra, giraffe, lion or a white Rhinoceros? Then head for Sigean wildlife park (33 km). Go on a fabulous tour by car and on foot, through the spectacular Réserve Africaine de Sigean.
    • Art lovers pay attention! The incredible Dali Theatre Museum, showing the life, photographs and art works of Salvador Dali is just 77km way in Figueres in Spain. The museum building itself is the largest surrealistic object in the world.
    • Treat the kids to a thrilling day out at Aqualand in Port Leucate (16 km). This enormous water park with slides, playgrounds and pools is a lot of fun for everyone!
