Camping Domaine de Ker Ys
Ker Ys is the name of a mythical city (Ker means 'city' in Breton language) that once must have been set in the Douarnenez bay and, according to a local legend, was washed away by a flood. Situated near the beach, camping Le Domaine de Ker Ys is well protected against the elements.
Recommended by our region specialist
"Small campsite behind the quiet coast road of Saint Nic, with a wide sandy beach beyond. Well-designed pool and a real Breton ambiance."
The surrounding area of Domaine de Ker Ys
The village of Saint-Nic is on the peninsula separating the bays of Douarnenez and Brest. Almost the entire peninsula is covered by the Armorique national park, and it also acts as a wave breaker for both bays. The Saint-Nic beaches therefore are wide and sheltered against the north-westerly winds.
