Camping Rio Alto, Póvoa de Varzim

• The well known city of Porto is only 35km south of Póvoa. The city's name Porto was once Portucale and later became the name of the of the entire country. It's the second city of Portugal after Lisbon, with its characteristic bridge constructed by Eiffel that spans the Douro river.
• If you fancy a glass of port you must visit the southern side of the city where this world famous wine is stored.
• The city of Braga, with its wonderful 12th century cathedral, is worth a visit.
