• To enjoy the vast array of culture and history that this region has to offer visit Pergugia, Assisi or Florence. Rome is further south but still accessable for a day trip.
• There are several pleasant cities lining the shores of Lake Trasimeno. A few kilometres from the coast, at the top of a hill, is Magione with its Maltese castle. From here there is a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding area. The castle has an interesting wine cellar with its own branded bottles.
• The vineyards on the hills around this lake produce grapes that go to make wine of excellent quality. You can taste the wine and try the regional specialities in many of the local restaurants and wine producers.
