Camping Continental Lido, Fondotoce di Verbania

Camping Continental Lido is located beside the (small) beach at the Mergozzo lake.

Why camping Continental Lido?
  • There's a safe beach for little children, as the sands shelve gently down into the lake.
  • A bar, a supermarket and a restaurant/pizzeria can be found on the campsite.
  • Many sport and play options are available.
  • A very active campsite with a swimming pool, disco and open air theatre.

The surrounding area of camping Continental Lido, Fondotoce di Verbania

The piece of land between the Lago Maggiore and the Lago di Mergozzo is only one kilometre wide, but there's a big difference between both lakes. Mergozzo is quite shallow, with grass and sandy beaches along the banks. You wonŽt come across any motorboats or water-skiers here as this is not permitted. Surfing, swimming and canoeing activities are allowed. The lake is nearly three kilometres long, a big difference to the 65km of Lago Maggiore.

Some tips for your holiday at camping Continental Lido in Fondotoce di Verbania:
  • The small village Mergozzo has very pleasant bars.
  • Fondotoce di Verbania and Stresa are not far away. In Stresa you can take the cable car to the Mottarone for a breathtaking mountain walk, which is also suitable for children. From this 1500 metre high mountain, when the weather is clear, you can see seven surrounding lakes. Experienced mountain bikers even take their bikes with them in the cable car and travel back down to Stresa on their bike.
  • A trip to the nearby Orta lake or to Milan is also a nice idea.
