Camping Tamaris Plage, St-Jean-de-Luz
Camping Tamaris Plage is a small campsite with plenty of shade and is located directly behind the dunes of Pale de Mayarco. The beach is a short walk away and ideal for surfers. The campsite is set on hilly ground and offers a great holiday to families with young children.Why camping Tamaris Plage?
- The sandy beaches south of Biarritz are set in bays sheltered by rocks. The neighbouring beaches of Lafitenia and Senix are also within easy reach.

This is the most south-westerly point in France. The coast here is called Côte Basque, and the Spanish border is quite near.Some tips for your holiday at camping Tamaris Plage in St-Jean-de-Luz:
- Try to catch a game of Pelota Basque, which is a traditional fast ball game with an authentic Basque atmosphere.
- Saint-Jean-de-Luz at the Nivelle estuary is just north of the border city of Hendaye. A busy city with friendly terraces and restaurants.
- Further upstream is Saint Péle, which has a lake and small beach. Explore this pretty and unspoilt section of Basque country.
- Several kilometers further north is Biarritz with its famous boulevard, perfect for a nice stroll and some good window shopping. Try a visit to the chocolate museum.
