The surrounding area of camping Les Lacs du Verdon, Régusse

Where the well-known Gorges du Verdon end, the wild water of the Verdon river has created many large reservoirs. Before the water finally reaches the Durance river there is quite a drop and, over the centuries, crevices have been formed in the high limestone rocks of Provence. The torrents of roaring water for which the Gorges du Verdon are best known has also created lakes that are now large water sport areas.

Some tips for your holiday at camping Les Lacs du Verdon in Régusse:
  • At the lakes you can enjoy the lovely climate combined with great sporting facilities. The typically Provencal atmosphere is ideal for sailing, swimming and surfing. There's also plenty of space for fishing and canoeing.
  • This region features lovely villages such as Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, Quinson and Aups, all of which have old, quaint streets with characteristic terraces.
