Camping International, Castellane

Camping International is situated 1.5km outside the village Castellane. Here you will find yourself at a height of 750 metres in a healthy Provençal mountain climate.

The surrounding area of camping International, Castellane

Castellane is located on one of the most beautiful parts of the Route Napoleon, which on the map has the less impressive name of the N85. It is not totally sure that Napoleon did take this route after arriving in Nice, but if he did he had great taste. Here Provence is at its best: rugged mountains, wild rivers and old towns which seem to be stuck to the rock faces in the most impossible places.

Some tips for your holiday at camping International in Castellane:

• To the west of Castellane the Verdon river has cut out the well-known 'gorges' and this Grand Canyon du Verdon is known as one of the most imposing parts of France. The lake of Ste.Croix, at the end of the canyon, is just as beautiful.
• In the other direction is the wonderful sight of the Col de la Faye. When the weather is clear you can even see the Mediterranean from here.
