The entrance to camping Château du Gandspette is very pleasant and the 19th century chateau of Gandspette, from which the campsite gets its name, is to be found here, amidst an 11 hectare large wooded area.

Close to the Belgian/French border you will find the beautiful soft rolling hills of the northern French landscape around Eperlecques. Here, just east of Calais, you will discover Flemish villages with names such as Wormhout and Hazebrouck. Many remains of the Second World War can be found in this pleasant landscape such as the launch installation of the famous V1 and V2 rockets which were aimed at London. Nowadays this so called Blockhaus, a giant concrete bunker of 22 metres high, is a visitor attraction.
