Camping Mar Estang, Canet-Plage

Canet Plage is the part of Canet-en-Roussillon that is situated on the coast. The beaches of the Roussillon are some of the widest in Europe so if the kids want sand to play in, there's plenty for them.

  • Ten kilometres inland is the pretty city of Perpignan.
  • Well recommended is a day trip to the walled city of Carcassonne. Don't forget to visit the historic centre with its remains of the Carthaginian rule.
  • To the north of Canet-Plage there is the pleasant village of Le Barcarès and Port-Barcarès, an interesting harbour, can be found on the split of land of the inland sea.
  • To the south of Canet-Plage you will find Saint-Cyprien and the livelier Argelès-Plage. Situated between these two places is the beautiful natural area at the mouth of the Tech.
