This campsite is located between Mol and Lommel, in the Flemish area De Kempen. The countryside is lovely with forests, moorlands and streams. Farmers were unable to cultivate the land due to swamps, so a pleasant nature area was created. The Zilvermeer, otherwise known as Lake Silver, is one of the many lakes in what was formerly a swamp area that has been converted into a popular tourist spot. The fine quartz sand from this area is used by the Belgian glass and crystal industries.
