Situated in a sheltered spot at the edge of Jumièges and just 300 metres from the centre is the small camping La Forêt. A green campsite with an intimate and informal air to it.
Why camping La Forêt?
- There's a pleasant swimming pool and a room with video games and a pool table. There are also two well-maintained sanitary buildings, a TV room and various playground equipment.
- Nearby, in Jumièges, you will find a couple of restaurants, a bakery, a butcher and a grocery shop.
The surrounding area:
The pleasant city of Jumièges is located near the mouth of the Seine. In this part of the Seine valley the river runs out to sea and there are idyllic villages beside the water. Here you are in the centre of the regional natural reserve of Brotonne.
Some tips for your holiday at camping La Forêt in Jumièges:
- There are a few lakes situated in the vicinity where water sports are available including sailing, surfing, canoeing and fishing.
- Try one of the marked walking or cycling tours, such as the regional abbey route, which passes by Jumièges.
- Don't forget the nearby city of Rouen, with its Notre Dame cathedral, the St. Ouen Abbey, the Jeanne d'Arc church and various museums. There is the maritime museum but something a bit different is the Ironwork museum. The city has many pleasant narrow streets with shops, restaurants and cafés.
- A visit to Le Havre, Deauville and the D-Day beaches are also possible from here.
