At the foot of the impressive castle, which is owned by the same people who own the campsite, lies camping Château de Fonrives. You' ll feel like lord and lady of the castle when you go fishing at the central lake or take a leisurely walk around the 'parcours de santé'.
Why camping Château de Fonrives?
- There's a 20 hectare forest in the grounds of the castle where you can enjoy a pleasant stroll whilst the birds sing around you.
- There's also more social activities such as mini golf plus a pleasant restaurant and bar.
- Naturally there's a good swimming pool, a sauna and a fitness room.
- Whilst the up market surrounds will appeal to adults, lots of attention is given to the children at the kids club.
The surrounding area:
Between the crowded valleys of the Lot and Dordogne rivers is a peaceful area. This is a region filled with fortified castles, often surrounded by medieval villages. The area is called 'pays de bastides' where, in the earlier years, robbers and highway men ruled the routes through the countryside.

- Sometimes it seems as if you've gone back in time in this region. Good examples of this are the wood carver in Monflanquin, the glass blower at Issigeac and the old shops in Villeréal.
