As the name says, this is an ideal place to enjoy Lake Annecy. Camping L'Idéal is well kept and locted in a lovely spot around 900m from the lake. From the campsite you can watch the paragliders that fly over the campsite on their way to the landing area near the lake.

Lake Annecy is without a doubt one of the most beautiful lakes in France. Surrounded by the foothills of the Alps, with some great water sports facilities and the pretty village of Annecy at the northern end of the lake, it's quite rightly one of the most popular holiday destinations. There are lot's of friendly terraces and restaurants alongside the lake for your enjoyment.

- Even closer is the city if Albertville that organised the 1992 winter Olympic games.
- Europe's highest mountain, Mont Blanc is close by and we recommend you take the small train from Chamonix to the large Mont Blanc glacier 'La Mer de Glace'. The spectacular ice cave, that has to be cut out every year, it's an unforgettable experience.
