A lively, very green campsite with a relaxed atmosphere, where families with children will have a great holiday. The facilities and entertainment on the campsite provide lots of fun for both young and old. The Galaure river flows directly behind the campsite and the village of Chateauneuf de Galaure, which offers basic facilities, is just 1km away.
Why camping Château de Galaure?
- Two heated swimming pools with waterslides, the Lazy River, a lagoon with a sandy beach and separate (heated) children's pool guarantee endless water-based fun. On land the children will enjoy the air trampoline, indoor playground, various outdoor playgrounds and the top class entertainment program.
- Experience the ultimate in relaxation with a visit to the sauna or massage room.
- You can fish in the river next to the campsite, or in the nearby lake.
- During high season there are daily mountain bike and race cycling tours guided by Bike Control. You can also enjoy family bike rides under your own steam.
- Enjoy a delicious meal or snack in the restaurant or on the pleasant terrace.

The surrounding area:
There are a lot of villages in France with the name Châteauneuf, but there is only one beside the Galaure, the river that flows to meet the Rhône at St. Vallier. You are in the Drôme, about 80km south of Lyon. A region with a warm climate, where the pace of life is still relaxed but that also has wide range of sports and advanture activities on hand.
Some tips for your holiday at camping Château de Galaure in Châteauneuf-de-Galaure:
- On the other side of the Rhône valley is the Ardèche region. The city Annonay is close by.
- Tournon, on the Rhône, is also close by. Enjoy a ride on the old steam train from here through the hills of the Ardeche.
- Close to the campsite is the special ' Palais Idéal', an eastern castle that was built solo by a mailman.
- In the village beside the campsite you'll find a bakery and a butcher. There are also some restaurants and a bar where the locals take a glass of Ricard at five-ish. Why not join them?
