The proud owners will do everything possible to make you feel at home. Plus it's in a great location, just 11km from the medieval town of Bergerac.
Why camping L'Escapade?
- Looking for water fun? Here you can swim, dive and splash all day long. Take to the pool, waterfalls, waterslides or head for the children's play area in the water.There's also a handy little bar with picnic tables. And if there's no sunshine one day, simply jump into the indoor pool!
- What's a holiday without great food? It's never a problem when you're in the Dordogne. Enjoy dining in the campsite's restaurant or just have a drink at the bar. Maybe find yourself a cosy little table somewhere.Alternatively buy some tasty groceries from the store and and cook them on the communal BBQ's.
- There's plenty of choice for children. Pet the goats at the children's farm,the ponies at the top of the hill, have fun at the playground, or join in the action on the new mulit-sports court and trampoline. Head for the kids mini club or play some midget golf. The kids always enjoy themselves here!
- Horse riding? A spot of fishing? Canoeing? All are availble a short distance from the campsite.

A few miles east of the character-filled medieval city of Bergerac (city of Cyrano) lies the village Lamonzie-Montastruc.

- For many years Bergerac was the trade centre from where goods were transported down the river Dordogne to Bordeaux. It really is a beautiful city to stroll and linger in. Make time to explore the old bridge over Dordogne (Quai Salvette), the dignified Notre Dame church, the busy, covered market place and the pleasant squares with their half-timbered houses and quaint little restarants.
- The pleasant, green surroundings have lots of interesting paths and walkways.
- Hire some bikes at the campsite. There's a handy service that delivers bikes to Camping L'Escapade from Bergerac.
- Want to swim in a river in the Dordogne? No problem. Go to Limeuil, a 30 minute drive away. There's a little sandy beach from which you can wade into the river.You can hire canoes there as well.
- Are the kids coming too? Then visit Le Chateau Bridoire, known as the castle of games. It's just a 25 minute drive away and full of historical games for the children to play!
