The surrounding area:
When leaving Mâcon, follow the N79 westbound and you'll end up at Dompierre-les-Ormes. This is a sparsely populated area with small villages located between the hills where the locals earn their living in the vineyards. Life is easygoing with plenty of good food and wine.
