Important documents

Vacansoleil will send you a useful travel pack approximately 3 weeks before you travel. This will include the voucher that you need to hand in at the campsite reception plus a voucher for the ferry company if we have booked a crossing for you. There are also tips and information that will help you reach your destination, such as toll costs and general advice about passports, pets, currency etc. If you have ordered Michelin maps, Swiss motorway passes or theme park tickets, these will also be included in the package. If you prefer, we can also send you vouchers by email. Simply make your own print of these and take them with you to the campsite.

Is that all?

Well, almost. Sometimes local authorities ask for a tourist tax. This can vary from €0,10 to €1,00 per person per day and is payable locally on your arrival at the campsite. There may also be some additional costs and these are listed in the price grid on each campsite page. Most extra costs are paid locally.

Price per unit of accommodation

The price mentioned in this brochure for mobile homes and bungalow tents is the amount you pay per unit of accommodation. So it doesn't matter if there are two or six people in your party – the price will be the same. All base prices are for 7 nights accommodation plus a mid-week Dover to Calais ferry crossing for all people in the party plus one car. There are small supplements to pay for ferry crossings on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Prices if you take your own caravan or tent

The price of a pitch for your own tent or caravan is the price per night for two adults, a pitch with electrical hook up for your caravan, camper van or tent and a place for your car. For extra people, children and/or pets you pay an additional amount. You can see all full details in the price panel on each campsite page. When you book a pitch with Vacansoleil you may of course use all facilities offered by the campsite. A charge may be levied by the campsite for a small extra tent and is payable on site.

Rental period

All campsites require you to stay for a minimum number of nights. This is often two nights during the low season and four in the high season. This number varies from campsite to campsite and also for the different types of accommodation. The minimum number of nights stay is shown in the campsite's price panel.
